ICT Officer
ICT Officer Main Purpose Execute maintenance, follow-up, and monitoring of all IT equipment, tools, and services, as well as ensure onsite technical support and training of users under his responsibility in accordance with INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols, and procedures, to guarantee the efficient use of all IT, services, and infrastructure. Reporting to: Hierarchical: Logistics Manager Functional: ICT Coordinator Tasks - Monitor, maintain, fix issues, and follow up on all Information Technology (IT) and equipment, tools, and services in accordance with INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols, and procedures - Supervise, implement, and improve data security protocols (data saving, firewall, User Access rights, backup, security for equipment and software, etc.) to ensure data security, availability, and immediate operational recovery and continuity in case of emergency - Provide technical support and present INTERSOS standards, policies, protocols, and procedures to all users. Provide advanced technical support to logistics experts dealing with IT. When needed, liaise with the HQ ICT Coordinator for 2nd line support, as well as with external providers, to ensure any incidents or problems that cannot be solved at his level are appropriately addressed - Provide educational support (briefing, training, and support, etc.) to all users. Provide advanced educational support (briefing, training, and support, etc.) to logistics experts dealing with IT - Provide regular activity reports for the sites under his responsibility in accordance with INTERSOS guidelines. Update and archive all user and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) related documentation - Ensuring that all base assets are registered in IMP and documented, issued with unique INTERSOS asset numbers, tagged, and logged according to asset management policies and procedures. - Provide his technical expertise in the local purchase process - Plan, prepare, and report the visits to the field to ensure the above activities - Perform any other task, specific to his area of specialty, according to the line manager Requirements - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Administration, or any related field. - Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in IT - Expertise in the latest version of the Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365, Internet) - Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security best practices, and IT service management tools (ITSM) - Understanding in Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V) - Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite) Professional requirements - Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN networks equipment, computers software and hardware, copiers/printers, and IT Security Personal requirements - Teaching and supporting skills - Behavioral flexibility - Results and quality orientation - Teamwork and cooperation - Stress management - Commitment to INTERSOS principles Languages - Fluent in both Arabic and English.
